We invited our team to share a few of their favourite examples of weird and wonderful jobs, giving some of their insights into what it’s like to work at ASAP.

Mike Willetts: Managing Director

What’s the most interesting parcel you’ve ever delivered? A special delivery for Pret A Manger from the UK to Paris.

 Where’s the most obscure item you’ve ever delivered? Delivering a BBC shopping trolley, across the country to their London headquarters.

Roy Bains: Commercial Manager

What’s the most interesting parcel you’ve ever delivered? A Doctor Who master tape.

Which is the most difficult city to drive around? London.

Ashley Brown: 

Where’s the most obscure place you’ve ever delivered to? Red Cross relief centre in Kenya for disadvantaged children.

Weekly we deliver a full load of kitchen equipment for fitting at new McDonalds’ stores across the UK.

What’s the most interesting parcel you’ve ever delivered? As a business we delivered replica Premier league and FA Cup trophies direct to Jose Mourinho’s home in Portugal after he won as Chelsea manager.

Which is the most difficult city to drive around? London and anywhere within 25 miles from central London.

Michael Le Jour: Full Time Driver

What’s the most interesting parcel you’ve ever delivered?  Lingerie to La Senza models

What’s the most miles you’ve driven in one day?  450 miles

Where’s the most obscure place you’ve ever delivered to? The shard in London

What is your role at ASAP and what does your day-to-day job entail?  Day to day deliveries and collections from our vast customer base across the UK. I drive vehicles from a small van to 7.5t truck and also warehouse work with inbound trailer unloading direct from China & Vietnam

Steven Russell: Full time driver

What’s the most interesting parcel you’ve ever delivered? Livestock i.e chickens, rats, a few snakes, a box of bees, a fish and lizards.

Have you ever delivered something sensitive? Handmade Coffins.

Where’s the most obscure place you’ve ever delivered to? On to Bournemouth Beach.

What do you enjoy mostly about working for ASAP? I enjoy that every day is different and the friendly and family environment that everyone creates, to make a great company to work for.

Andy Morris: Operations Manager

What is your role at ASAP and what does your day-to-day job entail? Operations Manager and chief coffee maker.

What do you enjoy mostly about working for ASAP? Good banter with a top team. There’s never a dull moment!

What’s the most interesting parcel you’ve ever delivered? A left handed screw driver for Nick Knowles to use on DIY SOS.

Have you ever delivered something sensitive? I had to tell Amy (Logistics Coordinator that ) we had confiscated her heater.

Mandy Morris: Logistics Manager

What’s the most miles you’ve driven in one day? About 600.

Have you ever delivered something sensitive? MOD property to RAF Brize Norton.

Which is the most difficult city to drive around? London.

What’s the biggest parcel you’ve delivered? A Rolls Royce jet engine.
